Sunshine and Snowballs on the StoryWalk®!

Currently on the StoryWalk® in Jorgens Park Preserve is “Sunshine and Snowballs” by Margaret Wise Brown. Take a walk through the seasons as you read this beautiful rhyming story of two children’s exploration of the seasons of a year. Explore the magical colors, sounds and sights of our natural world in spring, summer, autumn and winter through the eyes of a young boy and girl, brought to life with the stunning artwork of illustrator Charlotte Cooke. This book will be on the StoryWalk® until shortly after Memorial Day.

The StoryWalk® is a 0.4-mile looped walking trail beginning just to the east of the park’s picnic pavilion.

As families walk the trail, they’ll enjoy reading pages from a children’s picture book that have been placed along the trail. Combining literacy with outdoor activity, the StoryWalk® is a great way to enjoy some meaningful bonding time!
