Halloween Spooktacular in Jorgens Park Preserve
Join us for the Halloween Spooktacular—
Sunday, October 27 from 3–6 p.m.
in Scandinavia’s Jorgens Park Preserve!
During this family-friendly event, visitors will enjoy Trunk or Treat, hay wagon rides, a haunted barn, decorating pumpkins to launch in a pumpkin catapult, and Halloween-themed story readings. All ages are welcome to enjoy the fun!
Chili and beverages will be available for purchase during the event. Proceeds from the chili sale will go towards the park fund for maintenance and future improvements in the park.
Jorgens Park Preserve is located at 880 North Shore Drive in Scandinavia. Free parking is available in the park off State Highway 49.
Spread over 40 acres along the northern and eastern shores of Silver Lake, the park features scenic walking trails through a restored native prairie meadow, woods, and wetlands. A picnic pavilion, two fishing piers, a restored barn, two barn quilts, and a StoryWalk® are also available to enjoy.
The Halloween Spooktacular is presented by the Friends of Jorgens Park Preserve, the Scandinavia Booster Club, Iola-Scandinavia Scout Troop 631, and the Scandinavia Public Library, with additional assistance from the Thrivent Action Team.
