Curbside Pick-up Open, Building Closed
Although the library building is still closed, curbside pickup of library materials is now available!
Call 715-467-4636 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to make your request. Leave us a message with your request or questions.
A librarian will call you to schedule a pickup time and share our procedures to keep everyone safer.
Deliveries between libraries are not taking place at this time, so we are limited to checking out only those materials in our own collection. This video shows how to use our online catalog, Infosoup, to identify what items are currently available at the Scandinavia Public Library. You can also call or email—we're happy to help! (Please note: Holds can NOT be placed through Infosoup at this time; you need to contact the library to place your hold.)
Library materials should be returned via the outdoor bookdrop, located to the right of the front door. Items checked out before Safer at Home orders went into effect are now due by June 8, 2020. Fines will be in effect again after this date.
Other services we still offer:
- Reference services: Please call or email us!
- The story walk in Jorgens Park Preserve is open
- Summer programming is taking place, but has been moved online.
Book Group, Crafting Bee, and Dungeons & Dragons are cancelled until further notice.
The library status will be updated here, on WDUX Radio, and on the Scandinvia Public Library Facebook page.

What is my risk for COVID-19 in the US?
The CDC states that “This is a rapidly evolving situation and the risk assessment may change daily. The latest updates are available on CDC’s Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) website.” (See the website link above.)
The Scandinavia Public Library encourages any concerned patrons, especially those in high-risk populations, to stay home if they are feeling ill or are simply concerned about potential exposure.
Next Steps: We are monitoring this developing situation closely, staying up-to-date on info from federal agencies, health organizations, and other experts.
We will continue to communicate any further impacts to the Scandinavia Public Library on our website and Facebook page.
