Sew Wool Mittens
Friday, March 8, 2-6pm & Saturday, March 9, 9am-12pm
Drop-in during one or both days.
Sew a pair of mittens from felted wool or fleece at the Scandinavia Public Library. Sew a pair of mittens for yourself, sew a pair to share with the community, or come just to learn and have fun! Instructions on how to felt a wool sweater can be found here.
Bring your own fleece or felted wool or choose from the library's limited supply. Previous sewing experience is helpful, but is not required.
26" x 26" material for the mitten liner. Suggestions include fleece or jersey (t-shirt). The fabric should be able to stretch.

Embelishments are not required, but may be used. Buttons, bows, patches.
Consider upcycling used materials such as a wool sweater, t-shirt, or fleece blanket.
The library will provide four sewing machines and basic sewing tools. If you have a favorite machine or tool, you are welcome to bring it along.
Librarian Sue will be available for instruction and assistance.
Ages 14 through adult.
