Sew a waterproof tote bag out of a birdseed or animal feed bag. These tote bags are great for groceries, picnics, or a day at the beach!

Previous sewing experience is helpful, but not required, for this easy sewing project. The library can provide a feed bag for you, or feel free to bring your own. Instructions for a no-sew option using duck tape will also be provided.

This program is intended for adults and children age 12 & up.

The Scandinavia Public Library invites all crafters to Crafting Bee! Enjoy an atmosphere of creativity and mutual support as you work alongside other crafters. Whether you knit, crochet, cross stitch, quilt, bead, or scrap, and whether you are a novice or an experienced pro, these sessions are open to everyone! Assistance is available for a wide variety of crafts as well. All ages are welcome, although younger children should be supervised. This group meets every Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until noon. Have you ever wanted to play Dungeons & Dragons? Join librarian Meredith on an amazing adventure!

New players are welcome, and we are happy to teach people who are new to the game.

It is important that players try to make as many game dates as possible. If you will not be able to make it to most of the game dates, game aids and spectators are welcome too!

Experiment with several styles of catapult: How far can you fling a marshmallow or water balloon? Can you hit the bull's-eye? Can you break through our castle wall? How do different materials and the placement of the fulcrum affect the performance of your catapult?
